Welcome!
Here in the Lower Windrush Benefice, we believe that Christ calls us to be disciples by loving God and our neighbour. In our churches you won’t find a perfect person, but you will find a welcome! We are all journeying through life and need support and help to do it. Our churches are places of acceptance, love and grace, and where all are welcome.
We continue to hold a mix of in-person worship and online worship, to enable as many people as possible to join together. Have a look at our Services and Events tab for more info or follow us on Facebook: Lower Windrush Benefice
What’s coming up?
Benefice Home Group
In November, we plan to have a pre-Advent Home Group, meeting together to explore how Christians in other countries live out their faith, often in the face of great difficulties and persecution. We’ll meet at 16 Manor Crescent, Standlake, 11 am – 12.15 approx, on Mondays, November 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th. Group size limited to 10 people on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please let Carol Collinge know, 01865 300 849 or email standlakecd@gmail.com if you are interested in coming along – you will be very welcome. Study resources (from ‘Open Doors’ Witney) will be provided.
Could this be you?
St Denys Church, Northmoor is looking to appoint a Choir Director and Organist.
Our buildings…
are open every day during daylight hours. We rely on the kindness of volunteers to open and close, so some days buildings may be opened later or closed earlier than usual.
Our hope and prayer is that you will experience the peace of God as you come into these beautiful spaces and that God will draw near to you as you seek Him.
Safeguarding
As a Benefice, we have adopted the House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church: Safeguarding Policy Statement’. You can find this on the church noticeboard, or you can read it on our Safeguarding and GDPR page – you can find this under About Us
